As an Implementation Consultant, you will provide the support clients need as they go live on FOLIO and beyond.  

What You'll Do

Depending on the client's needs, we offer a wide range of professional services, including project management, workflow analysis, systems architecture support, data analysis, custom programming, systems integration, training, acting on the client's behalf in the FOLIO community, and much more. We work with all types of libraries, including academic, public, and special libraries, to ensure they have the support they need. 

 

As a FOLIO Implementation Consultant, you will play a crucial role in helping libraries of all types transition to and effectively use the FOLIO platform. Here’s a detailed description of what you will be doing: 

 

You will be responsible for leading large, successful FOLIO implementation projects. This involves discussing project timelines, coordinating activities related to FOLIO implementation, and ensuring all tasks are completed as detailed in the project plan. 

 

Your role will include preparing for initial meetings with clients to understand their needs, such as data migration, system integrations, and specific functionalities within FOLIO. You will analyze, document, and understand clients' data and workflow processes to ensure they use FOLIO to support their workflow as it evolves. 

 

You will manage/coordinate data migration from existing systems to FOLIO, including data in specific formats and electronic resources management data. You will address technical aspects of the implementation, such as SSO integration, user data updates, and the setup of specific functionalities within FOLIO. 

 

Additionally, you may be asked to be involved in training sessions in the required language and provide professional services to support the client post-implementation. This includes acting on the client's behalf in the FOLIO community and offering a wide range of professional services, such as project management, workflow analysis, systems architecture support, data analysis, custom programming, and systems integration. 

 

Overall, you will be a key player in ensuring that libraries have the support they need to successfully transition to and use the FOLIO platform, enhancing their operations and services.

About You

  • 5-10 years in ILS Management/Implementation or Library experience
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to occasionally attend online meetings during business hours in  (GTM-8  or  GTM+5) 

 

What Sets you Apart  

  • Master’s degree in Library Science or Information Systems, with experience as a systems librarian, data scientist, or similar role. 
  • Familiarity with library data such as formats (MARC/BIBFRAME) and electronic resource management. 
  • Proven project management skills and successful change management, which could include collaboration with library consortia or large organizations. 
  • Strong presentation and meeting facilitation skills, with knowledge of adult training and learning methodologies. 
  • Experience working with international customers and co-workers and prior engagement with the FOLIO community. 
  • Willingness to take a government background check; ability to work a schedule that may include early mornings and late evenings.
